As Cormac McCarthy once said about the world: "...it is, a hat trick in a medicine show..."

Anything, is a possible. Then again, it could all be a bunch of bull-shit. Depends on how you look at it, I guess.

I wasn't going to go here, but the door was opened for me. Therefore, I just have to go where no self-serving, politically correct white man has gone before.

"Bring it, Obama. No wait, I want to be secretary of state. Stick your cock down my throat, skull fuck me for all my ideas, policies, and appointments, call them your own, and to top it off rob me of my remaining dignity by blowing a fat load of jizz all over my face. And don't forget to get some in my eyes!"

"Yeah, you're my bitch now."

Whaaaat? Barack Obama's well-written, eloquent speeches aren't spoken from the heart? They're written by an over-privleged, Ivy-League, white boy. Whaaat? I wonder if Barack even wrote his own books. No, wait, they're not nearly as well-written as his speeches. Maybe, just maybe, he isn't the great brown hope we all hoped for? Oh well, shit happens. Just ask this guy.

By-the-way, I have nothing against Obama. I actually voted for him, but not b/c I think he's the "answer" or "change" we are looking for. He was just the lesser of two evils, as usual but in a different color. If his name was Jim Smith, he was white, had the same voice, same ideas, and spoke the exact same way no one would have been excited about his promise of "hope" and "change". I think a lot of people just got caught up in a cosmetic, superficial fad like most Americans do these days. He was an easy answer with an excellent sales pitch. I truly hope he proves me wrong, but then again hope hasn't gotten me very far in life. I'm just curbing my enthusiasm is all, Larry David style.

He has overcome! You haven't done shit!

Okay, yeah. But what about you?
And when are the rest of us going to "change"?
Oh yeah, he's going to do it all for us.

By-the-way, I'm happy that Obama won. I'm just sick of everyone acting like we just saved the world or won WWIII or something. Nothing has changed and he hasn't really done anything yet aside from talk a good game.

[]
I'll chill the fuck out when people actually change, not one man.

BTW:

Who is the person being described here?

Like all powerful speakers ______ greatest asset was his ability to determine what listeners wanted to hear and give it to them in simple language that appealed to them on an almost instinctual level.

"He was very charismatic, very charismatic," said________

"He appealed to anyone on any level at any time."

________ mastery of word and presentation left few in attendance with any doubts about his abilities.

Nope, it's not Barack Obama. It's Jim Jones -- another great public speaker. Not to say that Barack is a maniac; I'm just saying that all Barack has done so far is give us a bunch of powerful words and charismatic speeches. He seduced us like a poor good-looking guy would a down on her luck fat girl who needed some loving. I hope he meant what he said, and wasn't smooth talking us to get what he wanted. I hope he doesn't break our hearts.

PEOPLE NEED TO CHANGE BEFORE THE WORLD WILL CHANGE.

FEAR MONGERING McCain says:

"America's enemies won't test me, but they might test Obama."

Sounds like more of the same to me, W, I mean John.

Well, here's what I fear the most McPain:

"To teach or to kill people? That is the question."

That’s what’s riding on this election for me and many other Americans. If Obama is elected he claims that he will hire “an army of teachers”. McCain on the other-hand claims he will cut spending for everything not related to the military, which kind of sounds like a military state if you ask me. I don’t know why anyone hasn’t brought this point up yet? Anyways, if McCain is elected and cuts all funding for essential services that will in-turn force millions of Americans to join the military simply out of economic necessity. He won’t have to reinstate the draft because the only jobs out there will be military related. Again, it sounds like he wants to turn a free-country into a military state. Of course, we could always start plundering other countries to boost our ailing economy. That’s what I call old-school experience, medieval even, not maverick. So please, take my moral dilemma into account when you cast your vote next week. Even though if McCain is elected it won't be a moral dilemma, it will be something I'm forced to do one way or the other. Let freedom reign!

McCain also had the nerve to flatly say, "I won't raise taxes on anybody" in response to Obama’s tax plan. Please, how many times have we heard a Republican say “no new taxes” only to see them raise taxes?

What happened to the personal responsibility Republicans love to tout?

"Homeowners are the innocent bystanders in a drive-by shooting by Wall Street and Washington," Republican presidential candidate John McCain said Wednesday.

Not to mention, what happened to the fundamental value shift that McCain has been touting concerning "Country First"? It sounds like McCain is sacrificing even more of his "values" just to get the votes of people who are just as much to blame for the American greed (Dream) game falling apart as the Wall Street guys, the federal government, and the banks. I'm sorry, but people need to take financial responsibility for their own investments, futures etc., rather than doing whatever it takes to keep up with the Hollywood Joneses. If the person taking out the loan can't figure out that he can't afford the loan (or can but doesn't care just so long as he can get the hot car/house to show of to his lost dream chasing friends) then it's just as much their fault as the person giving them the loan.

I remember a time when I used to work for MINI that I sold a guy a 20,000 dollar car for 50,000 dollars just so he could drive it off the lot that day. There's no way the guy could afford it being that he was backwards on his trade-in. Not to mention, the guy didn't make that much money. But he wanted it "soooo bad". Sad thing is he just had a kid and was talking to me about how he needed to start a college fund for his newborn. However, he just "had to have this car and was willing to do anything to get it". So I worked out a monthly payment plan that he could afford. Thing was that by the time it was paid off it would cost him 50 Gs. He was so happy to have gotten his hot car that he didn't even do the math to see how much the car would cost him by the time he paid the car off. Lucky me, I ended up getting a sweet commission for the deal. I'm not proud of what I did, but a lot of people were caught up in riding the "something for nothing" gravy train at the time.

People (everyone in this country) need to start taking responsibility for this gigantic All-American fuck-up of a country that we've all helped create with our backwards "Bigger is better, Hollywood mentality". After-all, this is a democracy. Therefore, we're all in it together and all responsible to some degree in terms of where this country is and where it's going.

Get your shit together, America. This whole mess is highlighting the pathetic, self-serving, childish nature of the American mentality.

McCain came to change Washington, but Washington changed McCain

How can you be "country first" and a Christian while being against taking money from the rich (people who don't need it) and giving it to the poor (the people who do need it)? You can't, unless you're insane in the McCain.

Hypocritical Republicans make me sick. They make hypocritical Democrats look like angels. For the love of God, what's wrong with people? We've all gone mad.

McCain's real slogan should be: "The rich first, everyone else second class servants to the rich". In other words, by "country" McCain really means "rich people and gun toting rednecks who enjoy shooting people they don't understand for kicks".

America's reaction to the debate last night:

Left-wing: "We're so screwed if McCain is elected."

Right-Wing: "We're so screwed if Obama is elected."

Anyone w/out their head up their ass, and doesn't like the smell of their own bull-shit: "We're screwed no matter what".

I'm sorry, I like Obama and really want to "hope" he can single-handedly save the world, but from experience I find that "hope"in itself isn't enough. There needs to be some steel to his words, and a solid American public instilled with the values that are essential to a strong democracy (education, intellect, work-ethic, open-minds, altruistic motives, a lack of hypocrisy, etc.). Unfortunately, the majority of Americans (on both sides) lost their minds and any real "American values" a long time ago.

Not to mention, Obama is just looking like a smooth talking politician with a seductive voice to me right now. And McCain just looks like an angry, crazed old curmudgeon that will do anything to win.

Yeah, I'm not exactly optimistic, but I'm not exactly pessimistic either. I'm just realistic.

By the way, I'll be posting my short-story soon and the pdf version of my novel "The Land of Lost Dreams". I'm almost set up here in Portland, so I'll have plenty of time to write my next novel too. Yay!

They wanted hope, but the only hope that I could give them was that there is no hope for this world...but life would go on, just not the way you could have ever imagined. The way that you had hoped it would.

Is Barack Obama an Arab?

Somebody actually asked this question? And they're allowed to vote? Jesus fucking Christ...you've got to be kidding me.

I'm sorry, but it's not "socialists" like Obama that are a threat to democracy or the well-being of our country. It's idiots that have to ask this question. God damn, are there really that many ignorant and uniformed Americans this late in the presidential race?

I may be a teacher and love to say that there is never a dumb question, but this definitely was a dumb question.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

No wonder God is damning this country. His "Christian" American preachers are about as ignorant and illiterate as the "Is Barack an Arab?" guy.

Palin vs. Biden Speach...

One of the things that bothered me the most about this speech was Palin referring to Biden as "bringing up the past without looking to the future".

This is exactly why the Republicans got us into this mess in the first place-they don't understand the past. After-all, those most likely to repeat the mistakes of the past in the present are those who don't understand the past. Kind of like how the Republicans didn't understand that we shouldn't prop our economy against the housing market (like Japan did), or how they didn't learn from Vietnam (you can't win a war of occupation through attrition). These are just a couple examples of how the Republicans would rather stick their heads up their asses than analyze their own mistakes so they don't make the same ones in the future.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. It cuts both ways. They wouldn't have become terrorists if we wouldn't have made them terrorists through our hypocritical, self-serving actions. The Middle-East and Iran hates us for a reason-we fucked them over. In-fact, they used to like us until we stabbed them in the back and fucked them in the ass on numerous occasions.

Study up on your history, Sarah Palin. Not to mention, the rest of the ignorant Americans who think we're the "shining beacon of good in the world". Fucking morons. We deserve this mess. If there is a God it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better for America and the rest of the world.

Why the "bailout" will fail miserably and Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi suck...

Is it just me or is Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi the two biggest douchebags in the history of Washington? I mean, even without hypocritical comments such as his “feelings hurt” rant at the Republicans in response to Pelosi’s idiotic “I’m better than you, richer than you, have a nose job, and I live in California; therefore you should do whatever I say or think” motivational speech.

This is why East coast and West coast elitistist politicians (from either party) are out of touch not only with the average American, but any American who isn’t a filthy rich, hyper-hypcocritical douchebags like themselves.

Now that I think of it, I’m glad she made that speech and the Republicans gave her a big middle-finger by voting against “the bailout”. The bailout won’t work for a number of reasons. In-fact, in the long-run it’s going to make things much worse. Then again, this is Washington and the general American public we’re dealing with; therefore short-term solutions and band-aids are the easiest way to do things.

First of all, it’s not even a bailout-it’s more of a twisted drug-intervention. Simply put, Americans are a bunch of vapid crackheads who are after a pipe dream that there’s no way they can realistically (maybe optimistically, pass it on!) achieve with their lazy minds, fat-bodies, and ignorant philosophies. That pipe-dream is the West-Coast/Hollywood dream of “me, me, me I want to live a life-style that neither I nor the world can afford”. The Wall-St/Financial/ Credit guys were just the drug dealers hooking them an easy fix on their dream. Everyone was having a gay old time getting high as fuck on themselves and their sweet new 22 inch rims they bought with the equity of their second house, which they could afford to buy by refinancing their first house.

The American dream became not about making enough money to buy a home and a car, but being able to make enough money to acquire enough credit so we could buy a Mercedes, a face-lift, two new homes, and a sweet ass boat. And then the country hit bottom. Time to get clean. No, wait…

The Feds are going to save us by resupplying the corrupt dealers so they can give out more loans and extend credits lines to a bunch of greedy, stupid crackheads who couldn’t pay their bills in the first place. What a great idea! I'm sure the dream addicts will all learn their lessons and use in moderation now that they've hit bottom. And I'm sure the corrupt dealers with have a change of conscience after ruining millions of people's lives'. After-all, there will be an oversight committee made of their friends to make sure that they'll do the right thing!

We’re so fucked.

What are the Gulf Coast Texans staying behind thinking?

The same thing that they were thinking when they voted for W-they're not thinking. Oh well, I guess there goes a few more McCain voters.

I know it's their right to stay behind, but do we have to waste valuable tax payer dollars on saving ignorant people who have had every chance to leave? I mean, this is really coming down to survival of the fittest. If you're not smart enough to leave, then maybe you're not smart enough to live. In the wake of Katrina you think people would have learned from their mistakes-when the coast guard, national guard, fema, etc., etc. tell you to leave then do it for Christ's sake!

Straight shootin', straight talkin' Sarah Palin...

"...perhaps..."

How the hell is that straight talk? Personally, I'd like a straight answer about whether or not she would start WWIII over a po-dunk country like Georgia. Not to mention, a "small democracy" run by an imbecile. Georgia's president is like the little runt on the grade school playground who just befriended the number one bully in the school. And now that he's friends with the biggest, baddest kid in the school he's going to start shit with all the other kids because he thinks the bully is going to back him up any time he starts a fight. And we may "perhaps" stick up for that little runt.

Shit, the Republicans have been doing anything but "straight-talking" the last few weeks. Unless, you consider preaching to the fanatical choir and talking shit "straight-talking".

It's a terrifying thought that this fanatical woman might be one breath away from being the commander-and-chief. In my opinion, the commander-and-chief needs to possess a little more finesse in dealing with a country like Russia than a self-righteous pit-bull with lipstick or a reactionary barracuda.

Wow, didn't Nostradamus predict that a woman would lead the strongest country in the history of the world to it's downfall, thus leading to the end of the world? Sarah Palin could very well be that woman. I swear that woman is the anti-Christ.

And one more thing: does anyone really think people would be so sprung on Sarah Palin if she were fat, ugly, and had to solely rely on here intellect rather than verbal assaults, snide looks, and camera winks for her appeal? I highly doubt it, otherwise Hillary would have won the Democratic nomination. Poor Hillary, if only she were sexy like Obama and Sarah then she could be president too.

Damn, this country is so superficial and idiotic. We truly deserve this mess we've gotten ourselves into. I just hope that the masses don't choose to get us out of this hole we've dug ourselves into by choosing to bear down and dig deeper (electing McSame). But hell, third time could be a charm.

Me first, country second crowd...

Wait, isn't that the Republicans? The people that don't want to raise the taxes of the rich in order to help out those less fortunate than them. The military industrial complex that profits from foreign wars such as Vietnam and Iraq.

Yeah, and like you care about education. How do you expect to fund education without raising taxes? Blaming teachers who lack the resources to succeed and work in unstable communities that are drug infested, gang infested, crime-ridden, and dirt poor is not a solution. Your plan is a pipe-dream, especially without money. Good luck with that one. Man, we're fucked if we elect these idiots.

I hope another protester does something soon or I'm changing this shyt.

Oh great, now he's trying to use the fear of the Russians like Bush did the fear of the "terrorists".

"The Maverick" pulls out his secret weapon...

a milf for vice-president. Now there's a way to shake up the election. I almost didn't care that she said nothing of any real depth or importance during her RNC speech. Not to mention, she told a few lies about her record. She just looked so damn hot and feisty when she was taking pot-shots at Barack Obama. Way to pull a double standard and prey on the biases and prejudices of those "smooth talking city-slickers" just like they do towards you and your small town folk. You'll make a great Republican leader, Sarah. You've already got that demagogue thing down pat.

Damn, Barack. You should have picked her. I wish she was your Obama girl.

Two thumbs of freedom up your ass and a bitch slap of change, America. They'll strike the fear (glory) of God into America and the world one way or another! They're not looking for a fight, but they've got the glory of God on their side. So look out because they ain't afraid to fight! I can't wait for some change, some Republican style change with a dash self-righteous evangelicalism.

And did anyone see the shot of Cindy McCain before she was passed Sarah's special child? It was hilarious! She looked absolutely mortified. Every time they showed her with the baby cradled uncomfortably in her arms her face read: "Oh my God, for the love of God let this be over soon. Get this "special child" out of my hands. Oh my God, I think he just shit his pants."

McCain is right, experience counts...

One of the reoccurring themes of the election has been "experience". McCain claims that Obama doesn't have the necessary experience to lead America out of the mess that eight-years of Republican leadership has gotten us into. I would claim that Obama's lack of experience is a good thing, especially compared to McCain's formidable life experience.

Time and action have proven that McCain has the experience of not having the cognitive fortitude to make sound decisions (6 plane crashes), remember the names of countries, or where exactly he owns homes. In addition, McCain is a renowned hothead (which he himself admits with pride in his memoir). I mean, do we really want a president that is able to hold is breath until he passes out when things don't go his way?

And when did getting tortured become a qualification for being president? I mean, we should show him some respect for his patriotism. But truth be told, if he wasn't such a reckless pilot he wouldn't have gotten himself into that mess in the first place. And he even had a chance to get out, but chose not to because he wanted to make his father proud. That sounds more like reckless pride with a touch of masochism than patriotism to me. Those are not qualities I want in a president.

One more thing-elitism. I find nothing more funny than a bunch of rich white-men calling a black-man who "pulled himself up by his bootstraps" an elitist. I mean, you don't get more elitist than the Bush or McCain family. I guess, they don't consider going to Yale or being a member of skull and bones despite being a pathetic student elitism. Cronyism is cool in the Republican party, but elitism is bad. That's why Americans are always touting values such as: "we're number 1", "the leaders and the best", "the best man for the job", "with hard work and perseverance the cream rises to the top", Regan's "trickle down economics", tax-cuts for the ultra-rich, and worshipping elite athletes like Michael Phelps. America was founded and built on elitist values, especially the Republican party. There's nothing more hypocritical or ridiculous than Republicans touting anti-elitism.

So, McCain is absolutely right. Experience matters. And his life experiences portray more of an egotistical, self-righteous, elitist, masochist than a patriot who puts the well-being and future of his country in front of his own ego. His maverick status isn't so much because he is concerned about change or doing things differently, but because he's a hard-headed asshole whose used to getting and doing what he wants. And when he doesn't get what he wants he holds his breath until he passes out. In other words, he puts himself in needless danger in order to appease his bloated ego. Except, when he's president he'll be putting the whole country at the mercy of his reckless, egotistical whims.

America is #1, indeed. No need to worry.

Can't we all just get along...?

It's unfortunate that the Democrats can't even get along anymore. A joint ticket would make for a sure win, while a single ticket makes it a lot easier for McCain to win. And while Obama deserves a shot at the Presidency in reality he's not ready. If he could swallow his pride and join up with Hillary they'd be a formidable match-up with her know how and his charisma. Not to mention, they'd draw most of the independent and a Democrat voters to their side. In addition, Barack could learn the ropes and gain experience while serving with Hillary. It's conceivable that he could spend the next 16 years in the White House (eight as Hillary's vice-president and eight as president when she opts out). Granted, that would mean they'd have to win two elections, and he'd have to follow up by winning his own two elections. But that'll never happen because of foolish pride.

Oh well, it was just a thought. But if McCain wins they'll both be kicking themselves for not joining up for the sure victory instead of being hard headed politicians who want all the glory for themselves. Here's an idea: put your money where your mouths are and do what's best for the American people. Does that entail bickering and tearing each other down for the next few months (doing the Republicans a favor)?

The Huckster loses faith...

I guess Jesus, Chuck Norris, a few miracles, and some cool looking retro-uzis weren't powerful enough to overthrow Satan and his Dogs of War.

I love you Satan, you're all soft and cuddly. It makes me want to shut my eyes and imagine a hundred years of war.

The Spoiler Strikes Back?

THE N FACTOR

DARTH NADER
"Kerrrr...Kerrrr...I'd rather stroke my overly idealistic ego than step aside...Kerrrr...Kerrrr...And let a Democrat win. Kerrrrr...Kerrrrrr...I secretely love the Republicans. Kerrr...Kerrr."

Look at that face...

...no wonder she can't get votes. We like things superficial, hollow, and pretty in America. C'mon, go get some botox, start blowing hot air, or start throwing high-minded promises that you can't possibly keep out there or something. Think: "read my lips, no new taxes" or an abstract notion of "change" without outlining exactly how you're going to do it (we don't need specifics, just grandiose speeches). That's what America really wants. Get with the program, gaaaawd.

Where's the Faith?

C'mon, Mitt, I thought Mormon Jesus had your back? Where's the faith? You know Jesus doesn't like quitters. Even Huckabee has more sack than you. The sad thing is you know that.

You're a fraud, a crook, a flip-flopper! Go back to screwing the little guy while you line you and your fat cat corporate friends' pockets while you simultaneously praise the Lord's name.

You know, Jesus hates hypocrites more than fags, illegal-immigrants, liberals, John McCain and pro-choice advocates. And that's why Jesus hates America. At least the real Jesus from the Bible, not the Republican Jesus.
