He has overcome! You haven't done shit!

Okay, yeah. But what about you?
And when are the rest of us going to "change"?
Oh yeah, he's going to do it all for us.

By-the-way, I'm happy that Obama won. I'm just sick of everyone acting like we just saved the world or won WWIII or something. Nothing has changed and he hasn't really done anything yet aside from talk a good game.

[]
I'll chill the fuck out when people actually change, not one man.

BTW:

Who is the person being described here?

Like all powerful speakers ______ greatest asset was his ability to determine what listeners wanted to hear and give it to them in simple language that appealed to them on an almost instinctual level.

"He was very charismatic, very charismatic," said________

"He appealed to anyone on any level at any time."

________ mastery of word and presentation left few in attendance with any doubts about his abilities.

Nope, it's not Barack Obama. It's Jim Jones -- another great public speaker. Not to say that Barack is a maniac; I'm just saying that all Barack has done so far is give us a bunch of powerful words and charismatic speeches. He seduced us like a poor good-looking guy would a down on her luck fat girl who needed some loving. I hope he meant what he said, and wasn't smooth talking us to get what he wanted. I hope he doesn't break our hearts.

PEOPLE NEED TO CHANGE BEFORE THE WORLD WILL CHANGE.

And I thought L.A. smog was bad...

Ah, progress. And all we need to do to boost the world economy is to keep expanding the economy. I hope that cutting America's addiction to foreign oil by 50% will be able to stop the rest of the world's addiction to it. Not to mention, I hope the emerging "green-economy" will provide enough extremely low-skilled, high-paying jobs to the exponentially growing population of unemployed, fat, lazy, self-entitled, rude, under-educated, over-violent Americans who need jobs.

I've hoped a lot of things in my life, and I've found that it doesn't often float or lead to change. It just leads to broken hearts. Good luck, America. We'll need it, along with the rest of the world. A miracle would be nice too.
